Hananeel to hold outreach services

And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was. - Exodus 20: 18 - 21

The Sounding of the Shofar

The Fall Feasts of the Lord are of great importance to Jewish people and have vast import for followers of Jesus the Messiah. Rosh Hashanah, the "Feast of Trumpets" is a time of great joy for Jewish people, with prayers and songs, and the sounding of the trumpeting of the shofar. This time of celebration is followed by the somber "Days of Awe" as Jewish people await the "Day of Salvation" -- Yom Kippur. As faithful students of the scriptures we see the "Feast of Trumpets" looking back on a fearful and marvelous event, the giving of the Law by God to Moses on the mount, and we also see a future fulfillment, when the trumpet will sound.

Rosh Hashanah Service 2016 - blowing the shofar

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. - I Thessalonians 4: 16 - 18

In these days of international trouble and conflict we have great urgency in sharing the Good News of Jesus the Messiah with Jewish people, and all who are in need of a day of salvation. Perhaps some day soon "God's Trumpet" will sound and our work here will be done. Until then we labor in these fields that are ready for harvest.

Please pray as we hold our fall outreach events and invite Jewish people to enter into the joy of salvation offered by their King, and Messiah.
